The 6th International Building Physics Conference (IBPC 2015) was organised June, 15-17, 2015 in Turin (Torino) in the north of Italy. It was hosted by Politecnico di Torino and co-organized by ATI Piemonte and the Department of Energy – Politecnico di Torino. http://www.ibpc2015.org/ IBPC is the official conference of the International Association of Building Physics (IABP) http://internationalbuildingphysics.org/
IBPC 2015 contained lectures across a broad range of topics relevant to Building Physics, and (of course) acoustics was one important aspects covered. The IBPC takes place every 3 years.
The conference took place at Politecnico di Torino (www.polito.it) at the Main Campus – Corso Duca degli Abruzzi (http://www.polito.it/ateneo/sedi/?sede=TO_CEN&lang=en). Politecnico di Torino is one of the leading institutions to study engineering and architecture in Italy.

It was a very valuable experience to take part of IBPC 2015 and we would like to extend our gratitude to all the persons involved in its organisation. Must have been hard work! Fantastic to meet professionals from all walks of building physics, including acousticians of course. If you want to check the Twitter activity, search this hashtag: #IBPC2015
Ecophon actively contributed with three conference papers and lecturers:
(Session) NOISE CONTROL AND ARCHITECTURAL ACOUSTICS
(222) The same reverberation time in two identical rooms does not necessarily mean the same levels of speech clarity and sound levels when we look at impact of different ceiling and wall absorbers.

Torino is one of the largest cities in Italy (http://www.turismotorino.org/) and in 1899 the FIAT factory was founded and since then Torino is also known as the Italian city of automotive. And of course you could spot FIAT cars all over the place!
Next time you come to Torino, try the traditional Pesche ripiene (Stuffed peaches) http://www.foodinitaly.com/en-GB/prodotti/PESCHE_RIPIENE-49828.html?resetlang=1
